Friend, buddy and one of the many helping hands that have helped make CLUTCH the movie happen.  Robert Bennedsen, an amazing human being, gave with his life when killed while serving our country in the U.S. armed forces last week in Afghanistan.  Top notch, focused and dedicated to his passions.

Like so many friends of ours on this project, Robert helped wrench on movie cars, donated '67 Camaro parts and also participated as an actor portraying one of the Police tactical officers (of course!) in CLUTCH.  Like myself Robert was passionate about his '67 Camaro, we talked about the build, walked around the car as we talked ideas...and I watched it all come together right there in Mike's (Bredice's) shop.  Roberts eagerness to help was always welcomed and appreciated.  Whether it was lending a hand at Bredices Dockton Speed Shop on Vashon, Island (where Robert was a consistent fixture), jumping on Bredice's quad and running Camaro parts a mile up the road to me while I was working on the stunt Camaro at Paul's shop, or consulting his tactical weapons knowledge to help with the film shoot- Robert was THAT kind of guy.  Thoughtful, giving and fun to be around.  He is missed by many.  His time here on earth was not long enough in my opinion, however I will accept the blessing that my life has been made better by having Robert be a part of it.

National Emmy Award winner and 30 year veteran Soundtrack Designer, Mixer and Engineer Scot Charles has this to say about working on CLUTCH:

"Sound Design and effects editing for CLUTCH is one of the most challenging projects our team has ever tackled, especially for the race and car chase sequences.  Director Jay Rowlands is very exacting and insists on authenticity for those sequences - always referencing the fact that the "gear heads" will know the difference.  Regardless of whether or not the "gear heads" will know, Jay certainly knows, and his attention to detail brings a unique engaging dimension to the viewing and listening experience of the film during those sequences - giving the audience an opportunity to feel what's it's like to be in the race."

Sound design is wrapping up- down to the short list. Next step is creating the Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound mix. In between sound studio sessions Jay is hustling to finish up the music publishing and licensing deals, preparing for the final Picture treatments, credits, movie posters, dvd covers and a bunch of other movie biz stuff. We're launching a new movie promotion that will give you the opportunity to become part of the special "Producers Crew"- details coming soon!
